PROFESSIONAL SPORTS PLANNING EXPANDS INTO DETROIT

Professional Sports Planning, Inc., is "growing in the
Detroit market," according to David Barkholz of CRAIN'S DETROIT
BUSINESS. The Houston-based athlete representation firm owned by
Poston brothers Kevin and Carl, was established in 1989 and is
expanding in Detroit "because of the talent pool" -- and Kevin
Poston's desire to live in the area. The firm biggest client is
Anfernee Hardaway, whose endorsement earning's are expected to
hit $5M in '95, but also include NFLer Terrell Buckley, and first
round draft choices Ty Law of the Patriots and Shawn Respert of
the Bucks. Kevin Poston is CEO and President, while his brother
Carl is Chair and VP. The firm has "negotiated salaries and
endorsements for its clients in excess of $100 million over the
past two years," and player reps "typically ... receive 4% of the
salary negotiated" (David Barkholz, CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS 7/2
issue).
