PSG Exec Accused Of Breaking Transfer Rules

Paris St. Germain President Nasser al-Khelaifi "appears to have sought payments" for an agent, which would have "violated transfer regulations," and to have "given inaccurate information to a French judge." Khelaifi reportedly signed a letter to the chief of staff to the future emir of Qatar asking for a €2M payment to be made to Javier Pastore’s agent when the Argentine midfielder was transferred from Palermo to PSG in a deal worth €40M plus bonuses in '11. It is forbidden for a club president to "personally pay an agent." The letter Khelaifi allegedly sent is included in a "large tranche" of documents seen by the London Guardian and French investigative journal Mediapart (London GUARDIAN, 7/15).

Khelaifi’s lawyer, Francis Szpiner, announced on Monday his intention to file a complaint for “forgery and misuse” against Mediapart for publishing a "compromising document" (L’ÉQUIPE, 7/15).
