Watch Party

Tottenham is "considering" opening its new stadium for a screening of the Champions League final against Liverpool on June 1. Both clubs have been given only 16,000 tickets for the first all-English final in 11 years, which will be held at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid. Spurs' 62,000-capacity ground has the biggest LED screens in Europe, with two 325-square-meter screens in the South Stand and two 190.7-square-meter screens in the North Stand. The club is expected to make a decision later this week. A screening could be "lucrative" due to the prospect of "high food and drink sales and merchandising revenue" (LONDON TIMES, 5/9).

Record numbers of police will be deployed in Madrid for the match on June 1. The Spanish capital is bracing itself for an "English invasion" of more than 50,000 supporters from the two clubs. Eight hundred officers were on duty for "the last big European game" at Wanda Metropolitano (London DAILY MAIL, 5/8).

Liverpool made plans for "two separate victory parades" should it win the EPL and the Champions League (London DAILY MAIL, 5/8).

Imagine Dragons will perform at the Champions League final's opening ceremony (90MIN, 5/9).
