Oklahoma State Donor T. Boone Pickens Passes Away At 91

Oil tycoon and influential Oklahoma State athletic booster T. Boone Pickens died today at the age of 91. Pickens has donated $500M to his alma mater, and "has been described as the Oklahoma State Cowboys' No. 1 superfan." With his contributions, Pickens "forever changed the landscape of the athletics department, especially the football program." OSU's stadium "bears the megadonor's name." He was a "regular attendee at Oklahoma State football games, but his attendance slipped in the past few years" (KOCO.com, 9/11).
