Vanderbilt AD Announces Series Of Facility Renovations

Vanderbilt AD Malcolm Turner today announced a "series of facility renovations for the football stadium, basketball arena, baseball field and more." Turner said that the videoboard in the south end zone at Vanderbilt Stadium "will be removed, and the videoboard in the north end zone will be replaced with 'a cutting-edge board with a sharper and brighter image.'" This offseason, Hawkins Field will get a "new artificial turf playing surface and upgrades to the scoreboard." Memorial Gym will get "new state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems for basketball games." Turner said that Vanderbilt is in the "final stages of selecting a firm to help develop a master athletics facilities plan" (TENNESSEAN.com, 5/28).
