Dixon, Kanaan To Sport Nearly Identical Paint Schemes At Pocono
Chip Ganassi Racing for this weekend’s Verizon IndyCar Series race at Pocono Raceway will roll out nearly identical NTT Data paint schemes on its Nos. 9 and 10 Hondas in a move that hearkens back to the team’s iconic dual Target cars that it used to carry. The cars, which will be driven by Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan, will be identical save for the end plates of the car, where Dixon’s will be white and Kanaan’s will be blue. NTT Data has taken over primary sponsorship of Dixon’s No. 9 Honda for most of this season after last year’s departure of Target.
Meanwhile, CGR says its internal data shows that the #LetKyleRace campaign that started organically on social media last week proved to earn considerable metrics. Its data shows that the campaign, which centered around team Owner Chip Ganassi allowing Kyle Larson to race in a prominent sprint car race the night before last Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, had a reach of nearly 12 million people on Twitter and garnered more than 600,000 impressions on Facebook. The video the team put out showing Ganassi revealing that he was going to allow Larson to race in the sprint car race earned more 300,000 total views across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
