Vienna Beef Bringing Back Smoked Sausages To Wrigley Field
The Cubs and their partners Levy Restaurants and Vienna Beef are bringing smoked sausages back to Wrigley Field for the first time in about 30 years. As part of Wrigley Field’s 100-year anniversary, Levy, the ballpark’s concessionaire, has opened a new sausage stand near Aisle 108 on the main concourse. The stand debuts for Friday’s game against the Pirates, and Levy is selling the six-inch sausages for $7.
For many years, the old Oscar Mayer smokie links were a Wrigley concession staple, but they disappeared in the mid-‘80s, according to local reports. The new sausages, co-branded by Vienna Beef and the Cubs, will also be available at Chicago grocery stores in time for the July 4 holiday, team officials said.
