The MLB Cardinals today confirmed that radio broadcaster Mike Shannon had heart surgery on Monday. The club "will continue to rotate broadcasters with lead announcer John Rooney as Shannon recovers" (STLTODAY.com, 8/21).

ESPN's Kenny Mayne will return to "SportsCenter" as a rotating anchor for the show's L.A. telecasts (Adam Harris, THE DAILY).

Babolat has inked a deal to become Wimbledon's official licensee of tennis rackets, bags and accessories as of Jan. 1, 2014. The brand already has a deal as Wimbledon's official shoe (Babolat).

FS Detroit will televise 80 regular-season Pistons games during the '13-14 season, with returning announcers George Blaha and Greg Kelser (Fox Sports).

AdvoCare has signed on to sponsor Roush Fenway Racing's No. 6 NASCAR Nationwide Series Ford driven by Trevor Bayne for the full '14 season (FOXSPORTS.com, 8/21).
