Royals Set Ratings Records In Consecutive Games On FS K.C.
The Royals have won 12 of their last 13 games and are now four games back in the AL Wild Card race, and last night's home win against the Twins was the highest-rated Royals telecast ever on FS Kansas City. The game earned a 10.2 local rating, marking the second game in a row and the third in four days to set a new high. This comes after Sunday's game against the Mets averaged a then-record 9.7 local rating. The postgame show also set a record with a 6.3 rating (THE DAILY).
Meanwhile, last night's Yankees-White Sox game featuring the major league return of Alex Rodriguez was the Chicago team's "second-highest-rated game of the season" on Comcast SportsNet Chicago with a 3.09 local rating, behind only the April 1 season opener against the Royals. White Sox games on CSN are "averaging about a 1.4 rating for the season" (CHICAGOBUSINESS.com, 8/6).
