Electronic Gaming To Help Fund Vikings Stadium Gets Approval

Minnesota's first electronic pulltab games today "got the green light from the state Gambling Control Board ... kicking into gear the state's strategy for financing the Vikings stadium." The state Legislature approved the expansion of pull tab gambling earlier this year to "fund most of its share of the stadium," $350M of the $975M cost. Control Board Exec Dir Tom Barrett: "It's not just about the Vikings stadium funding. The charities should see an increase in their proceeds" (STARTRIBUNE.com, 9/18).
