Red Sox, Cubs Wearing Throwback 1918 Uniforms On Saturday

The Red Sox and Cubs will "turn back the clock" for Saturday's game at Fenway Park, with both teams wearing uniforms that replicate the style from the 1918 World Series, when they last faced each other at Fenway. The Red Sox home uniform will be a "blank button-up with no lettering and a slight off-white or ivory color." The hat "will have a blank off-white tint, and the socks will be a three-part white/red/white composition." The Cubs will wear "navy blue pinstripes and lettering on a grayish uniform." Each Red Sox player will sign his uniform after the game, and all will be auctioned off to support the Red Sox Foundation (BOSTON GLOBE, 5/20).
