Robert Smith

Retired (Minnesota Vikings)

Robert is the visionary behind Fan Health Network and is responsible for strategy, partnerships, fundraising and the Captains Network. Robert is a college football analyst for Fox Sports. He began his broadcast career with ESPN as a college football analyst on College Football Live and SportsCenter. He also worked for the Big Ten Network.  Robert was a running back for the Minnesota Vikings from 1993 - 2000. He has worked with the NFLPA (NFL Players Union) for over 20 years, first as a player rep in 1994, an executive committee member and now as a union trustee on the NFL pension and disability board. Robert attended The Ohio State University where he played football and ran track. He completed pre-med curriculum and worked in the hematology oncology lab at The James Cancer Center on a gene cloning and sequencing project.
