Caesars Entertainment renews NHL sponsorship

Caesars Entertainment will add rights to develop NHL-themed games on its online casino platform as part of a renewal of its sportsbook sponsorship with the league that will be announced today.

As in previous deals that began with Caesars predecessor William Hill in 2019, the agreement includes digital branding on some Stanley Cup playoff telecasts, VIP experiences for use in Caesars’ customer rewards program, use of the Stanley Cup at promotional events and use of league and team logos and images on its sportsbook app.

The NHL was the first league that William Hill agreed to sponsor after the Supreme Court cleared the way for legalization in 2018. Caesars, which acquired William Hill in April of 2021, was the first brand to put its logo on an NHL jersey through a deal with the Capitals later that year. The sportsbook also operates a retail location at Capital One Arena.

Caesars online casino app is available in N.J., Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The company added access to NFL marks for its online casino games in July.
