FedEx Renews Longtime ATP Platinum Partner Status

The ATP and FedEx have renewed their partnership, keeping the global shipping company as an ATP Platinum Partner for the 10th year and making it the new title sponsor of the ATP Rankings. ATP Platinum Partners -- FedEx, Infosys and Peugeot currently -- enjoy global promotional rights as well as on-site activation at ATP tournaments throughout the season. With the FedEx news, seven of ATP’s nine major partners and official suppliers are on renewed sponsorship deals.

"The ATP Tour perfectly reflects what FedEx stands for: a global footprint, speed, excitement and precision," said FedEx Express Senior VP/Int'l Marketing Wouter Roels. "Since we started our journey as Official Sponsor of the ATP Tour in 2010, we have enjoyed many memorable moments of passion, persistence on court and possibilities for players to inspire and connect with fans. Through our presence at the largest tournaments of the Tour, we will continue to engage with millions of fans all over the world through mainstream and digital media."

During the new term of the agreement, FedEx will sponsor 13 tournaments per season, including the Miami Open, as well as Rogers Cup in Montreal and Toronto. FedEx’s deal will also include Mutua Madrid Masters sponsorship for the first time. FedEx, which has renewed its initial '10 deal with ATP three times now, additionally will be the presenting sponsors of the ATP World No. 1 trophy during the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals.

"FedEx has been a fantastic partner of the ATP for over ten years now and we’re delighted to announce this extension to our agreement,” said new ATP CEO Massimo Calvelli, who started Jan. 1. "In addition to multiple tournament partnerships, the title sponsorship of the ATP Rankings provides FedEx with an unparalleled association with an asset that links the whole season together, and we look forward to a continued successful partnership."
