The Denver Broncos hired MARYKATE JOHNSON as executive vice president of human resources. Johnson was a leadership and organizational effectiveness consultant and an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Ritchie College of Engineering.

The Seattle Seahawks promoted MARIO BAILEY to vice president of community engagement and legends.

Vinik Sports Group promoted JOHN FRANZONE to senior vice president of production and game presentation for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

TECHNOLOGY

Greenfly named NICK SHAW managing director of EMEA. Shaw was lead of sports teams, leagues and federations at Meta.

Next League hired LINDSAY SCHWARTZ as director of business development. Schwartz was senior vice president of partnership management at Tappit.

AWARDS & BOARDS

The Big 12 Conference elected to its board of directors: Baylor University President LINDA LIVINGSTON chair; University of Kansas Chancellor DOUG GIROD vice chair; and Iowa State University President WENDY WINTERSTEEN secretary/treasurer through the 2024-25 season. The conference also formed its first AD executive committee with Oklahoma State AD Chad Weiberg chair, and University of Kansas AD TRAVIS GOFF and TCU AD JEREMIAH DONATI also serving.

The Durham Sports Commission’s board of directors elected ANGELIQUE STALLINGS and RYAN CRAIG. Stallings is the owner and founder of Mocha Mind Agency and vice president of community investment for the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. Craig is a health and welfare consultant at Gallagher and on the Duke Sports Business Conference Alumni Board.

OTHER

The Anti-Defamation League hired BLAIR ZACKON as director of sports engagement.

The Ironman Group announced ANDREW MESSICK’s retirement as president and chief executive officer. Messick will remain a stakeholder and member of the board of directors following the recruitment and appointment of a new CEO.
