In The Office: Bespoke Sports & Entertainment

Bespoke Sports & Entertainment’s new HQ in Charlotte features unique design and furnishings to emphasize ‘culture of creativity.’

As befits the company’s name, the new home for Bespoke Sports & Entertainment in Charlotte includes many custom-built features, from benches built from Appalachian walnut and branded with the company’s familiar “B” logo, to the 50-foot hand-painted mural by local artists featuring past Charlotte sports figures.

When Bespoke CEO Mike Boykin and President Greg Busch began scouting locations for a new office, they looked at existing office spaces but ultimately decided they wanted to create a space that had a story behind it.

“It was very important to us to create a work space environment that reinforced our culture of creativity and collaboration but also showcased our ‘bespoke’ approach to client work through custom design elements throughout the office,” Busch said.

They chose the renovated and expanded former home of Raycom Sports on West Morehead Street, about a mile west of Bank of America Stadium.

The company moved into its new 5,500-square-foot headquarters in the city’s fast-growing FreeMoreWest neighborhood at the end of last summer. About 20 employees work out of the office, which sports an open floor plan with a “bullpen” work area, shuffleboard and air hockey games, a brainstorm lounge and conference rooms of various sizes. A cafe is fully equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, two beer taps and a selection of spirits.

An upstairs area includes a covered terrace with seating for outdoor gatherings and other events.
