Cindy Stutman, Philadelphia Flyers

Pel Productions

Cindy Stutman bleeds black and orange. A lifelong Philadelphian who grew up attending Flyers games, she’s spent two decades working for her hometown hockey club.

“To me, this is home,” Stutman said. “I grew up here, and to have had continuous opportunities in an organization that’s so important to the city, there really wasn’t a reason to look anywhere else.”

Stutman wears two very distinct hats at the Flyers and Flyers Charities. She helped launch the team’s mascot, Gritty, and led ticketing operations and hospitality for four NHL outdoor games. Most recently, she reinvented the Flyers’ season-ticket membership program.

“You’re a part of the Flyers family literally 12 months out of the year, so we look to engage fans in-season, out-of-season, and really make their experience customizable to them,” Stutman said of the Inside Edge membership program.

At Flyers Charities, she led the shift in focus to supporting local families affected by cancer, growing and diversifying hockey and promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.

“We’re really focused on those causes and developing really robust partnerships where we give larger gifts and really make an impact and help these organizations tell their story,” she said.

Stutman is particularly proud of the recent donation of $400,000 to Snider Hockey, one of the biggest gifts in the history of Flyers Charities, to fund construction of a multipurpose street hockey rink to get more children playing the sport.
