Deloitte was among the three inaugural Changemakers sponsors of the WNBA in 2020, and continues as the league’s professional services provider. Janiak leads the firm’s overall approach to sports sponsorships, including deals with the NWSL, WNBA, USTA, USGA, Team USA and LA28. In 2021, she led the firm’s sponsorship for WNBA Pride to promote initiatives that advocate for, support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. She also participated in the SheBelieves Summit as a panelist on Women in Leadership in 2021. Giorgio has expanded the firm’s sports practice significantly since taking over in 2015. He spearheaded and leads Deloitte’s relationship with the WNBA, supporting efforts across everything from growth strategy to digital transformation. This includes leading research to diagnose and reverse trends among young girls leaving organized sports, especially at the high school level. Within Deloitte, Giorgio launched a program to create Deloitte internships for professional female athletes.
