Herrick Touches on some of the most significant deals in the nation’s largest sports market through its work with the New York Yankees, Legends and the New York Racing Association. The well-liked Kishner advised the Yankees’ joint venture with Manchester City to create NYCFC. Etna played a key role in the 2019 purchase of the Walt Disney Co.’s equity interest in the YES Network by an investor group that included the Yankees, and he and DeFeo advised Legends Hospitality’s agreement with private equity firm Sixth Street for a controlling interest in the company. Kishner and Chang represented the NYRA in an expanded partnership establishing Fox Sports as NYRA Bets’ official wagering partner and the media provider for elite thoroughbred racing through the next decade. Stabler has led multiple financing deals, including counseling the lender to a multimillion-dollar syndicated secured revolving credit facility for a sports team.
