more About you

Most important lesson learned in 2020: The biggest competitive advantage is simply being your full and authentic self.

Ways to network or stay connected with peers this year: When shelter-in-place first began, I created a database of new people I wanted to “e-meet” during quarantine from sports and other industries as well.

Go-to person when I need help: My family is my go-to sounding board. They understand my “why” and keep me accountable.

My inspiration: My late mother. Her passion for life and commitment to a larger purpose continue to motivate me daily.

In the industry

Biggest surprise when I started my career: That having sound business acumen is a prerequisite, but just the tip of the iceberg. Relationships are truly the cornerstone of commerce.

Most exciting aspect of sports business: How passionate the end consumers are. It is inspiring and humbling to work on projects that have such a profound impact on people.

How my generation is changing sports: We’ve solidified the role that sports and athletes play in every element of popular culture, and in society more broadly.

Sports should address social issues: Directly and in partnership with the social and political leaders who are most directly focused on reform.

Sports industry needs to do a better job of … : Being intentional about creating more opportunities for executives of color, especially senior leadership positions.

In 10 years I hope to be … : Helping cultivate the next generation of thought-leaders in the sports industry.
