Jay Monahan

Commissioner, PGA Tour

Under Monahan’s steady hand, the PGA Tour was among the first sports properties to return to play during the pandemic as other sports took notice of the tour’s effective testing strategies. His strong leadership led to well-designed and orchestrated health and safety protocols that kept the tour rolling through the summer. Monahan collaborated with Seth Waugh at the PGA of America and Michael Whan at the LPGA Tour to shuffle the golf industry’s calendar, including moving back the tour’s Presidents Cup to 2022 to allow the Ryder Cup to be pushed from this year to next year. — John Lombardo
