The Class A Carolina League Fredericksburg Nationals hired ANDREW HAINES as vice president of sales. Haines was vice president of business development and general manager of the Major Arena Soccer League’s Orlando SeaWolves.

Basketball

The Portland Trail Blazers and the Rose Quarter hired ASHLEY CLINKSCALE as senior vice president of corporate communications. Clinkscale was director of corporate communications with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Colleges

Austin Peay hired TIM KNAVEL as assistant athletic director and chief financial officer. Knavel was assistant AD and chief finance and administrative officer at Ohio University.

The University of California-Irvine named ERICA MONTEABARO senior associate athletic director, student services, and senior woman administrator. Monteabaro was senior associate commissioner and senior woman administrator with the Big West Conference.

Fordham University promoted EDWARD KULL to athletic director after DAVID ROACH announced his retirement, effective July 1.

Kansas State University promoted DAREN KOUDELE to senior associate athletic director, compliance.

San Jose State University hired ROB CLARK as deputy athletic director of development. Clark was executive senior associate athletic director at Long Beach State University.

The Sun Belt Conference named NANCY YASHAROFF senior associate commissioner and chief communications and branding officer

Hockey

The Los Angeles Kings hired AUNISHA LEFFRIDGE as a human resources assistant.

Other

Heritage Werks named JESSE RYBACK chief revenue officer for its sports and entertainment division.

Awards & Boards

The Fiesta Bowl named Fiesta Bowl Yellow Jacket Committee members BRIAN BEDNAR and DAVID DORWARD to its board of directors.

Gator Bowl Sports named JOHN DUCE as chairman. Duce is senior vice president of middle market banking at Wells Fargo.

The Orange Bowl Committee elected DR. YVONNE TURNER JOHNSON as second vice chair. Johnson is the chief medical officer of South Miami Hospital.
