The No. 1 pick in the draft is scheduled to return to the court on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs and the team has three national TV games scheduled over the next three weeks.

For the second straight year, some big names have chosen not to take part in the NHL All-Star Game, including Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin, who is doing so for the second consecutive season, and goalies Marc-Andre Fleury of the Golden Knights and Tuukka Rask of the Bruins. The NHL’s All-Star Game has always been a tough draw, and when even players give the impression the event isn’t worth their time, why should others?

Comcast is funding a startup accelerator program called SportsTech that will focus on a host of areas, including content, ticketing and ecommerce. The hope is that the companies in which the program invests will allow Comcast to spot emerging technologies sooner, but it’s a competitive space with no guarantee of a return on investment.
