Most exciting aspect of sports business: This business is ultimately about the fan communities that support it. Getting to help shape those communities and enable people to come together around the passion they have for sports is a reward in and of itself.
Questions for networking: Always ask about people’s lives away from work, not just to ask but because you really care about the answer. We are all people with varied interests. Getting to know someone as a person first always yields better long-term relationships.
