Christy Keswick

Co-founder and CEO, Good Sports

GIVING: I can’t wait to sit down with my 9-year-old son again this year and pick out some sports equipment for kids in need on the Good Sports Equip-A-Kid portal. (www.goodsports.org/equipakid/) As a young athlete and avid sports fan, I found him deeply engaged last year and that it was a great way to start teaching him about giving back.

RECEIVING: I love listening to podcasts and reading books, but I have been browsing the classes at MasterClass and would love to try one out. I think Sara Blakely would be my first choice as I find her story incredible.

Dave Kaval

President, Oakland Athletics

GIVING:I like giving books. Usually curated to the recipient. A couple of my go-to books include Amor Towles’ “A Gentleman in Moscow” and Bill Pennington’s “Billy Martin: Baseball’s Flawed Genius.”

RECEIVING: My 12-year-old 22-inch Weber Smokey Mountain smoker is on its last legs, so I would love a new one. Nothing like making some good BBQ, especially ribs, for family and friends and watching sports like the Tour de France, Cleveland Browns football and Oakland A’s baseball.

Bryan Furey

Senior vice president, partnerships, Spectra

GIVING:Honoring traditions. I’m looking forward to hosting our extended family and friends for Christmas Eve and watching my two young boys, Grant and Cole, read “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” with their great-grandfather.

RECEIVING: Besides a naming-rights partner for a few of our clients? In true holiday spirit, I will leave what gifts I receive to Santa. I am thankful to have been as lucky as I am. He knows that time with my wife, Loryn, and our two children are at the top of my list.

BriAnne Newman

Vice president of consulting and events, Fenway Sports Management

GIVING: The holidays are the best time of the year now that I have kids, so I always look forward to being with them and seeing them open presents. They just make everything more exciting and put happiness into perspective.

RECEIVING: I’m the kind of person that likes to online shop for others and enjoy time with my family and friends. But I would say I would love anything that holds a memory or keepsake, such as framed photos of my family or a necklace of my kids’ birthstones.

Jill Gregory

Executive vice president and chief marketing and content officer, NASCAR

GIVING: I have a few wanna-be NASCAR drivers in my family so I’m getting them into iRacing. Logitech makes a great racing wheel with pedals for those looking to experience sim racing for the first time.

RECEIVING: Time with family and spending some time outdoors skiing. I don’t get much free time during the busy, fast-paced season so a few runs down the mountain and hikes with my niece and nephews would be great.

Jeff Ianello

Executive vice president, client partnerships, SeatGeek

GIVING:My wife and I are excited to surprise our two daughters with a trip to Disneyland. I also have a tradition of gifting books to close friends and industry supporters which I enjoy doing. This year “The Infinite Game” by Simon Sinek is certainly on that list.

RECEIVING: I’m angling for a new putter as I’m certain it will vault me from a bad golfer toward a mediocre one.

Stacie McCollum

Vice president, programming and acquisitions, ESPN

GIVING:I am most excited to give my daughter a set of books she asked for. She’s an avid reader and recently stumbled on to the “Wings of Fire” series. She asks nearly every day if I’m buying them for her.

RECEIVING: The gift I am most excited about is an upcoming Disney cruise. Following the successful launch of ACC Network, I can’t wait for the gift of a little R&R in the sun with my family.

Chie Chie Yard

Vice president of events, NHL

GIVING: I’m excited to give my kids the gift of an “experience” this year.  They are getting old enough to appreciate experiences, rather than material things.

RECEIVING: It would be wonderful if someone would digitize all of my old VHS recordings from my childhood and playing days. But that is a mammoth project so not sure that it will ever get done.

CEO, The Connect Group

GIVING: There isn’t one specific gift I am excited to give, but rather I get excited seeing the genuine joy my kids have when opening up gifts during the holidays. I dig the experience more than the actual gifts.

RECEIVING: More culinary partnerships for my clients and our agency as a whole. Not sure how to wrap that up, but we can figure that part out. Another Patriots Super Bowl would be nice as well.

Wayne Kimmel

Managing partner, SeventySix Capital

GIVING: Our esports portfolio company, Nerd Street Gamers, just released gift cards for gamers of all ages to use at any Localhost facility. I'm thrilled to be able to give my kids, nieces, and nephews something they will actually love to use!

RECEIVING: Family time over the holidays! Time with my family to exercise, relax on the beach, watch our favorite Philly teams and of course, cheer on my Maryland Terrapins and my wife's Miami Hurricanes!

Fred Olsen

Vice president of special events, Fenway Sports Management

GIVING: After giving the special events team some well-deserved time off … I have a feeling that a family vacation is in order for 2020! I haven’t seen my daughter’s list yet so will have to follow up once we know what color convertible she wants!

RECEIVING: It was a busy events season for my FSM team with Red Bull Crashed Ice, LFC’s U.S. preseason tour, hurling at Citi Field and our Fenway Bowl announcement, so I’m really just looking forward to spending quality time with my family ahead of what’s sure to be an equally busy 2020.

GIVING: Santa’s list from my kids includes My Little Pony toys, LOL dolls, Legos and somebody slipped jewelry onto the list, hmmm I wonder who. I will help Santa complete that list. I also have a tradition of giving bottles of wine to people I work with closely.

RECEIVING: All I want for the holidays is quality time with my family. Take them to see the Christmas show. Enjoy some movie nights. Treat them to a few nice dinners out. We might even watch an NBA game or two on another network.
