Baseball

The Oakland Athletics hired ERIC BOHNE, JORDAN BUFFORD, IMANI DAVIS, SEAN DOBBYN, CHRISTINA FISCHER, JANE FOUNTAIN, GUNNER GARN, JORDAN GENTRY, PETER HA, SAVANNA JURKOVIC, ALEX KOSINSKI, MIRACLE LITES, QUINTEN MCLANE, RYAN MEISENHEIMER, TOSH MEYERS, DELANEY SWAN and NOAH VILLEGAS as associates.

The Staten Island Yankees promoted T. J. JAHN to general manager after serving as the club’s vice president of operations; and JANE ROGERS to senior vice president of baseball operations. Rogers has been with the club since 1999, the team’s inaugural season. ADAM LORBER, the club’s vice president of business development, was promoted to chief revenue officer. JASON NAZZARO was promoted to chief operating officer. Nazarro joined the club in 2015 after eight years as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The Texas Rangers named DANITA MAXWELL vice president of human resources. Maxwell was director and chief of human resources at Occidental College in Los Angeles.

Colleges

Campbell University named OMAR BANKS athletic director. Banks was executive associate athletic director at Virginia Tech.

Colgate University named LAURA SGRECCI senior associate athletic director for external affairs and strategic advancement. Sgrecci was associate athletic director for marketing at Dartmouth.

Learfield IMG College appointed ERIK ANTICO general manager of Rams Sports Properties’ team, the multimedia rights holder for Colorado State University Athletics. Antico most recently served three years as associate general manager for the company’s University of Pittsburgh multimedia rights.

The University of Maryland named BRIAN ULLMANN executive associate athletic director and chief strategy officer. Ullmann was vice president of marketing and communications for Rare, a global conservation organization. The school also named MARK SHERBURNE senior associate athletic director for administration. Sherburne had been the Terrapins’ assistant athletic director for facilities, operations and events.

JEFF NELSON, Penn State University associate athletic director for strategic communications, announced his retirement, effective July 31. Nelson spent 25 years with the Nittany Lions.

BOBBY DWYER, the College of William & Mary senior associate athletic director, announced he will retire in August. Dwyer spent 34 years with the Tribe.

Football

The Arena Football League named RANDALL BOE commissioner. Boe previously served as executive vice president and general counsel at Monumental Sports & Entertainment.

NFL Media hired former NFL wide receiver ANDREW HAWKINS to host a variety of content on the league’s digital and social channels.

The XFL named FRED HARNER senior vice president of content and media. Harner was vice president and general manager of digital media for SportsNet New York.

XFL Dallas named GRADY RASKIN president. Raskin was vice president of corporate partnerships for the Dallas Stars.

XFL Houston named JENNIFER GERMER marketing director. Germer was chief operating officer for RMH Marketing & Media.

XFL St. Louis named KURT HUNZEKER president. Hunzeker was vice president of marketing strategy and research for Minor League Baseball.

Hockey

The Columbus Blue Jackets hired ZACH GALKIN as senior partnership development manager.

The Florida Panthers named KATERINA PEREZ vice president of corporate sponsorships and premium sales.

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment named ANDREW McINTYRE senior vice president of technology and innovation. McIntyre was the Chicago Cubs’ vice president of technology.

Marketing

BeCore promoted STEVE DUPEE to chief executive officer. Dupee spent the past year as president of the organization.

Eiger Marketing Group named DEANNA RAINEAR account manager and SAM MOK account executive.

Under Armour named SEAN EGGERT senior vice president of global sports marketing. Eggert was Red Bull’s vice president and head of sports marketing.

Media

ESPN extended DICK VITALE’s contract through the 2021-22 season. The network also announced that former NFL quarterback JOSH McCOWN will serve as an NFL analyst. Additionally, ESPN.com signed national college football writer BILL CONNELLY to a multiyear contract and reached multiyear extensions with fellow writers HEATHER DINICH and ADAM RITTENBERG.

Eurosport named ANDREW GEORGIOU president, where he will run the Discovery-owned platform as well as oversee sports rights and marketing across Discovery. He was chief operating officer at Lagardère Sports and Entertainment.

OZY Media named MARK WRIGHT senior editor of sports and race. Wright was ESPN’s writer and director of special projects at The Undefeated.

Motorsports

International Speedway Corp. promoted AL GARCIA to president of Homestead-Miami Speedway. Garcia replaces MATTHEW BECHERER, who had served as the speedway’s president since 2009. Becherer will now hold the role of vice president of consumer sales for ISC.

Motorsports agency Sunday Group Management hired AMY GREENWAY as series manager.

Wrestling

WWE named PAUL HEYMAN executive director of “Monday Night Raw” and ERIC BISCHOFF executive director of “SmackDown Live.”

Other

DraftKings named JASON PARK chief financial officer. Park is a former Bain Capital operating partner.
