The  game also showcased new puck/player tracking technology, which can be used for legalized sports betting.

100th PGA Championship

Strong ticket sales and attendance led to higher revenue and delivered the highest-rated PGA Championship since 2009. The tournament used the St. Louis market to its advantage by honoring baseball hall of famer Ozzie Smith and by sponsor Budweiser activating with its famous Clydesdales.

The innovative style and impressive construct of the 1.5-mile road course-oval hybrid at Charlotte Motor Speedway opened NASCAR’s playoffs in exciting fashion and led to strong attendance, revenue, corporate spending and ratings.

Super Bowl LIII

Atlanta used Super Bowl LIII to establish itself as a world-class host city, with the impressive Mercedes-Benz Stadium as its crown jewel. The walkability of Super Bowl week festivities and the strong numbers across the board made the NFL’s marquee event a success.

U.S. Open Tennis Championships

The redesigned branding and updated facilities helped draw record attendance, ticket and merchandise sales and overall revenue for the tournament. Strong ratings also meant many fans at home watched as Naomi Osaka announced herself as tennis’ newest star.
