Ripken Baseball named MICHAEL KENNEY executive vice president, responsible for the management, business development and growth of baseball tournaments and programming innovations at The Ripken Experience complexes in Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee and future facilities expansion.

Colleges

Collegiate Sports Management Group hired BRIANE KNIGHT as manager of operations.

Louisiana State University named SCOTT WOODWARD athletic director, replacing JOE ALLEVA, who stepped down April 17. Woodward previously held the same title at Texas A&M.

Western Illinois University named DANIELLE SURPRENANT director of intercollegiate athletics, effective June 1. Surprenant was the school’s senior associate athletic director for internal operations and senior woman administrator prior to assuming interim AD duties in May 2018.

Facilities

Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum named JOSH ROONEY chief revenue officer and TERESA GUY director of sales, bookings and partnerships.

Homestead-Miami Speedway named NORA ABREGO director of marketing, and promoted NEAL GULKIS to senior director of marketing and communications.

JERRY BOVEE is stepping down as Weber State’s athletic director after 10 years to become the assistant vice president and deputy athletic director for external affairs at Utah State University.

Football

The Miami Dolphins named SEBASTIAN TRUJILLO senior director of multicultural partnerships.

The Cleveland Browns promoted BRANDON COVERT to vice president of information technology, DAVID LEE to director of ticket operations and MATT SRODEK to director of the team’s facilities in Berea, Ohio.

The San Francisco 49ers hired ALEX CHANG as chief marketing officer. Chang served as head of partnership marketing for Samsung. The team also promoted HARPREET BASRAN to vice president of human resources and JIHAD BEAUCHMAN to vice president and deputy general counsel.

Gaming

FanDuel Group named LAINIE COONEY chief people officer. Cooney most recently served as chief human resources officer for Blue Apron.

Golf

The Northern Trust PGA Tour tournament hired STEVE KALMAN as head of sales. Kalman was previously sales manager for 98.7 ESPN New York.

Hockey

The Los Angeles Kings named BRITTANY EREMITA supervisor of the Kings Care Foundation.

Lacrosse

The National Lacrosse League New York Riptide named BRIAN HOBART director of scouting and JAKE HENHAWK director of player development.

Spectra hired BRIAN RADLE as director of partnerships for the NLL Philadelphia Wings. Radle most recently was president and general manager of the Class A Kannapolis (N.C.) Intimidators.

Media

Pocket Outdoor Media named JEN ATOR editor-in-chief of Women’s Running.

Mixed Martial Arts

UFC promoted PETER DROPICK to executive vice president of event development and operations.

Other

McGowan Professional Athletes & Entertainers Insurance Solutions Practice added GERRY KNOTEK JR. as client associate.

SEAN MAHONEY joined Whitecap Sports Group as senior associate.

Technology

PRESTON PHILLIPS joined Klip Sports as chief executive officer of the Americas.
