In The Office: CSM Sport & Entertainment

New space for agency’s motorsports division is all about making it easier for the staff to work together.

CSM Sport & Entertainment’s motorsports division recently moved into a new headquarters in Indianapolis after the agency sought out a space that was more conducive to collaboration.

The new headquarters is on Network Way in Indianapolis’ Intech Park and features an open-air setup and decor that embodies both the company’s mottos as well as the motorsports division’s Indianapolis roots. CSM moved from its older, more spread-out office in Zionsville, Ind., just outside of Indianapolis, that it used when the agency was still known as Just Marketing International.

Ashlee Huffman, general manager for the division, said the move eliminated a situation in the old office that separated some staffers from others by different floors.

“When we decided to move, our goals were to find a size that allowed us all to be on one floor, to find a location that was convenient for our people, and to find a space that was a blank canvas for us to craft as our own,” Huffman said.

CSM’s in-house design team decorated the office. A 12-foot brick wall pays homage to Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which is known as The Brickyard because of its original track surface. Graphics on another wall highlight other sporting events. Employees have access to a coffee house-style break room and work at standing desks.

Key clients for CSM include Ally, Verizon, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Harley-Davidson and Diageo.

“We wanted to showcase our global scale as CSM with local passion,” Huffman added.
