USC water polo coach Jovan Vavic and UCLA men’s soccer coach Jorge Salcedo were among the coaches at elite schools — also including Georgetown, Stanford, Texas, Wake Forest and Yale — accused by federal prosecutors of taking bribes from parents to get their children into those colleges whether or not the students qualified athletically or academically.
