Basketball

The Seattle Storm promoted ALISHA VALAVANIS to chief executive officer for both the team and Force 10 Sports Management. Valavanis will continue in her role as general manager.

Colleges

Atlantic Coast Conference Senior Associate Commissioner for Women’s Basketball NORA LYNN FINCH will retire at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year.

American University promoted JOSEPHINE HARRINGTON to deputy athletic director; EMILY JANSON to assistant athletic director for administration; NICK GUERRIERO to associate director of communications; SAM RASO to associate athletic trainer; and JOHN GANTHER to director of equipment operations.

The University of California, Berkeley, promoted BETH VOETSCH to associate athletic director for development, and hired BRIAN MANN as senior associate athletic director and chief development officer. Mann was senior associate athletic director and chief development officer at Rice University.

La Salle University Athletic Director BILL BRADSHAW will retire, effective June 30.

Watkins Glen International hired BECKY MITCHELL as group sales manager and MAKINSEY CAROLUS as a corporate sales executive.

Gaming

Esports organization Gen.G hired CHRIS PARK as chief executive officer. Park was executive vice president of product and marketing for Major League Baseball.

Marketing

The Buffalo Groupe named JOHN WATSON executive chairman and KYLE RAGSDALE chief executive officer.

Learfield IMG College named ANDREW STEIN general manager for Seton Hall Sports Properties at Seton Hall University.

Soulsight hired STEPHEN KEREPESI as executive vice president of growth. Kerepesi was chief revenue officer for ANC.

Media

DAZN hired GREG DOMINO as director of communications and public relations for North America and JOSH SANTRY as vice president of talent. Domino was senior publicist of sports media relations for HBO, and Santry was an agent for CAA.

Pegula Sports and Entertainment named BRENT ROSSI chief administrative officer for the Buffalo Sabres. Rossi will continue in his role as Pegula Sports and Entertainment’s executive vice president.
