Ballparks boost 4Topps’ business

4Topps Premium Seating is installing its mesh seats, bar stools and table units at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum, Tropicana Field and four new minor league ballparks.

Deron Nardo, principal and president for North Carolina-based 4Topps, said the company also has its first music venue, a key target market for the company. 4Topps will install its table units, which feature swivel seats, at the Live Nation-owned Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Mass.

As for the ballpark projects, 4Topps will install approximately 750 mesh seats and bar stools for the Oakland A’s including replacing vinyl padded seats behind home plate. The company will install table units with swivel seats in new bar and social areas for both the Tampa Bay Rays and the A’s, which are eliminating some traditional seats. For the Rays, the work is part of a $7.5 million makeover of Tropicana Field that involves eliminating upper deck sections.

4Topps is installing all 8,000 seats at the new $150 million Las Vegas Ballpark, which is the most expensive minor league ballpark ever built. The AAA stadium opens in April and will be the first ballpark with only mesh seats, which 4Topps touts for keeping guests cooler versus traditional seating.

4Topps will also have some of its seats and tables installed at new minor league ballparks in Amarillo, Texas; Fayetteville, N.C.; and High Point, N.C.

Nardo said he’s also installing tables at a new University of Florida softball stadium, and adding 12 more tables for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks and 100 new mesh seats for the Chiba Lotte Marines. The Hawks and Marines are Japanese baseball teams.

“2019 is shaping up to be a big year for us,” Nardo said.
