Baseball

The Los Angeles Dodgers hired JEFF KINGSTON as vice president and assistant general manager. Kingston was vice president and assistant general manager for the Seattle Mariners.

The New York Mets promoted IAN LEVIN to senior director of baseball operations, and hired jared banner as executive director of player development. Banner was vice president of player personnel for the Boston Red Sox.

The San Francisco Giants hired J.P. RICCIARDI as a special adviser, ZACK MINASIAN as pro scouting director and MICHAEL HOLMES as amateur scouting director.

Little League International promoted LIZ DILULLO BROWN to senior vice president and chief marketing officer, KARL ECKWEILER to senior vice president and chief legal officer, ANDY FREDERICK to senior director of information services, BRENT STAHLNECKER to director of risk management and SAM RANCK to director of league development and director of the Challenger Division; and hired JENA DALYKAS as account executive for marketing. WENDY THOMSON, Little League Canada assistant regional director, and RON SMITH, programmer and analyst, announced their retirements.

Basketball

The National Basketball Association named SHAREEF ABDUR-RAHIM president of the NBA G League. Also, BRIANNE EHRENKRANZ, senior director and head of marketing for Europe and Middle East, will be departing in January.

The Los Angeles Sparks promoted CAROLINE YOUNG to vice president of corporate sponsorships.

Colleges

Big Sky Conference Deputy Commissioner RON LOGHRY will step down from his position, effective Dec. 31, after more than 23 years with the conference.

Chicago State University hired SHERESE PARKER as associate athletic director for academic services and senior woman administrator. Parker was assistant director for the institute for student success at Ursinus College.

Fairfield University hired JUSTIN BELL as associate athletic director for compliance and recruitment. Bell was associate athletic director for compliance at the University of Hartford.

Fairmont State University promoted CHAD FOWLER to athletic director and TIM MCNEELY to vice president of student affairs and athletics.

The University of North Carolina Wilmington hired TIFFANY TUCKER as senior associate athletic director and senior woman administrator. Tucker was deputy athletic director for internal operations and senior woman administrator at South Carolina State University.

St. John’s University promoted KATHLEEN MEEHAN to senior deputy athletic director and senior woman administrator, JOHN DIFFLEY to deputy athletic director and chief operating officer and ERIC RIENECKER to associate athletic director for student services.

The United States Air Force Academy named NATHAN PINE athletic director. Pine was athletic director at the College of the Holy Cross.

Vanderbilt University named MALCOLM TURNER vice chancellor for athletics and university affairs and athletic director, effective Feb. 1, 2019. Turner was president of the NBA G League.

Fenway Sports Management promoted MARK LEV to president.

Awards and Boards

Kore Software named AL GUIDO, San Francisco 49ers president and Elevate Sports Ventures chief executive officer, to its board of directors

Other

RSR Partners hired DREW CLOUD as principal for its global sport and entertainment leadership practice. Cloud was formerly chief business officer for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment.
