Basketball

The Atlanta Hawks promoted ROD HIGGINS to vice president of basketball operations, DANIEL STARKMAN to manager of basketball operations, and THERIAN WILLIAMS to assistant video coordinator. The team hired CHELSEA LANE as executive director of athletic performance and sports medicine, DWIGHT LUTZ as director of basketball strategy and analytics, DIPESH MISTRY as head video coordinator, LARRY RILEY as senior adviser, NICK RESSLER as coordinator of basketball operations, and VICTOR WILLIAMS as a security consultant.

 

Colleges

The Southwestern Athletic Conference named CHARLES MCCLELLAND commissioner. McClelland was vice president of intercollegiate athletics at Texas Southern University.

 

Belmont University hired RYAN NEISES as coordinator of academic services and sport ministry. Neises was assistant athletic director at Cincinnati Christian University.

 

Brown University hired JENNIFER HUNTER as associate athletic director for diversity and inclusion initiatives. Hunter was director of diversity, inclusion and engagement at the University of Wisconsin.

 

The Citadel named MIKE CAPACCIO athletic director. Capaccio had been serving as interim athletic director.

 

Eastern Kentucky University hired DARIAN WESTERFIELD as assistant athletic director for development. Westerfield was senior associate athletic director for administration at Western Illinois University.

 

The University of Georgia hired MAGDI EL SHAHAWY as deputy athletic director for academics and student development. El Shahawy was senior associate athletic director at the University of Southern California.

 

Marquette University promoted SARAH BOBERT to executive associate athletic director for internal operations and senior woman administrator; DANIELLE JOSETTI to executive associate athletic director for compliance, marketing and sales; ADRIENNE RIDGEWAY to executive associate athletic director for academic services and student programs; AARON BAKER to senior associate athletic director for facilities; and SCOTT KUYKENDALL to senior associate athletic director for communications.

 

The University of North Dakota named MIKE MANNAUSAU vice president of development for major gifts.

 

Facilities

Atlanta Motor Speedway hired JAIME HESTER as senior director of ticketing. Hester was manager of ticket operations for the Atlanta Falcons.

 

BSE Global and AEG Facilities promoted MATTHEW FELKER to general manager for the Barclays Center and JOE ZINO to general manager for NYCB LIVE, both effective Oct. 1.

 

The Miami Beach Convention Center hired FREDDIE PETERSON as general manager. Peterson was contract administrator for the MassMutual Center and the Greater Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau and its Sports Commission.

 

Football

The Washington Redskins hired TODD KLINE as chief commercial officer. Kline was senior vice president and chief commercial officer for the Miami Dolphins.

 

Hockey

The National Hockey League hired ROSS BERNARDas vice president of programming and development.

 

The Los Angeles Kings hired JESSE DUNCAN as motion graphics animator and video editor, and ELYSE INFERRERA as coordinator of game and event presentation and entertainment.

 

Marketing

Legends and JMI Sports hired TED LOEHRKE as president of their Fighting Irish property at the University of Notre Dame. Loehrke was executive vice president of strategy and development for the Milwaukee Bucks.

 

Premier Partnerships promoted SPENCER WOLF to vice president of marketing services and named JOHN KRISTICK president. Kristick was the 2026 FIFA World Cup United Bid Committee executive director for the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

 

Scout Sports and Entertainment hired HILLARY WYSE and SIMON WEISS as account coordinators, BENJAMIN FOREMAN and ANTHONY CANGELIOSI as account supervisors, BILLY ABERLE as graphic designer, MEG MANKOWSKI as events manager, JACK NARDI as coordinator of property consultation and analytics, and CATHRYN CARDILLO as senior events manager.

 

Impression Sports and Entertainment hired COURTNEY LOWRY as director of client services. Lowry was senior account coordinator for Match Marketing Group.

 

Soccer

The Philadelphia Union hired ERNST TANNER as sporting director.

 

The USL Hartford Athletic hired DONOVAN POWELL as chief operating officer. Powell was general manager for Learfield’s Dragons Sports at Drexel University.

 

The Canadian Premier League promoted ROY NASRALLAH to vice president of marketing and JOELLE ELFASSY to director of marketing; and hired EVA HAVARIS as vice president of strategy and league operations, KURT LARSON as managing editor of CanPL.ca and director of content and MICKI BENEDETTI as director of communications.

 

Sports Commissions and Tourism Boards

The Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority Board named SCARLETT SPRING chair.

 

Other

Oak View Group hired SAM PICCIONE III as president of international. Piccione was chief commercial officer for Formula E.
