Pharmaceutical company Merck made a $3 million contribution in October to Swim Across America. AKTIV winner

U.S. middle distance champion and cancer survivor Gabriele “Gabe” Grunewald (left) accepted the AKTIV Against Cancer Award from AKTIV founder Halle Arenson at the annual NYC Marathon kickoff luncheon last month at the New York Athletic Club.
