Baseball
The Oakland Athletics hired Christopher Flynn as inside sales manager. Flynn was manager of group and new ticket sales for The Aspire Group at Georgia Tech.

Colleges
University of Richmond Athletic Director Keith Gill is stepping down.

Baylor University promoted Callie Schrank to associate athletic director and athletics chief of staff and Cody Hall to associate athletic director for financial services, and hired Marcus Sedberry as senior associate athletic director for student-athlete success.

Central Michigan University named Michael Alford associate vice president and athletic director. Alford was senior associate athletic director for administration and development at the University of Oklahoma.

Clarion University promoted Wendy Snodgrass to athletic director. Snodgrass was associate athletic director.

The University of Florida hired Laird Veatch as executive associate athletic director for internal affairs. Veatch was deputy athletic director at Kansas State University.

Long Island University Post promoted Debbie DeJong to athletic director.

The University of Houston promoted Jeff Collier to senior associate athletic director for finance and human resources; Lauren DuBois to senior associate athletic director for compliance, academics and financial aid; Bruce Gregory to senior associate athletic director for event operations, facilities and grounds; T.J. Meagher to senior associate athletic director for capital projects and David Bassity to senior associate athletic director for strategic communications and digital media.

The University of Pittsburgh hired Christian Spears as deputy athletic director for external affairs. Spears was deputy athletic director at Eastern Michigan University.

Facilities
Martinsville Speedway promoted Blake Collins to senior manager of business development and Ashley Oakes to senior manager of sales, and hired Harrison Hamlet as manager of communications.

Football
The Buffalo Bills hired Joe Schoen as assistant general manager and Brian Gaine as vice president of player personnel. Schoen was director of player personnel for the Miami Dolphins, and Gaine was director of player personnel for the Houston Texans.

The Detroit Lions named Kyle O’Brien vice president of player personnel, Lance Newmark director of player personnel and Dave Sears assistant director of college scouting.

The Indianapolis Colts hired Morocco Brown as director of college scouting, Kyle Childress as college scouting coordinator, Brian Decker as player personnel strategist, Ed Dodds as vice president of player personnel and Rex Hogan as vice president of player personnel.

Hockey
The Vegas Golden Knights hired Rick Braunstein as director of team services. Braunstein was manager of team services for the Arizona Coyotes.

Marketing
Team One hired Ashley Maxfeldt as assistant account executive in Los Angeles and Chloe Font as assistant account executive in New York.

Buffalo Agency hired Chris Van Duyne as vice president. Van Duyne was sales director for Golfweek.

CAREY
Bespoke Sports & Entertainment hired Nick Carey as an account coordinator.

Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing hired Melissa Layton as vice president of brand and talent strategy, and Shane Arman as senior director of agency relationships and business development. Layton was director of U.S. brand marketing communications for McDonald’s, and Arman was an account supervisor for Ketchum Sports & Entertainment.

Wasserman hired Alan Palmer as vice president of growth and development. Palmer was founder and principal for Knowmatter.

Learfield hired Bruce Siegal as senior counsel. Siegal was general counsel for Collegiate Licensing Co. and IMG College.

Media
ESPN Radio executive producer John Martin will retire after the MLB All-Star Game in July.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx promoted David King to director of partnership sales.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
VF Corp. promoted Arne Arens to global brand president for The North Face.

Other
The McGowan Professional Athletes and Entertainers Insurance Solutions Practice hired Eitan Meskin as a client associate.
