People: Executive transactions

Baseball
The Texas Rangers named Josh Boyd assistant general manager for professional scouting, research and development and Pacific Rim operations; Mike Daly assistant general manager for major league operations and international scouting; and Jayce Tingler to assistant general manager for player development. Jack Hill was hired as senior vice president for project development to oversee construction management and development for the team’s new ballpark.

The Class A South Atlantic League’s Lexington (Ky.) Legends hired Sarah Bosso as vice president of business development, Greg Liebbe as senior corporate sales executive, Leslie Taylor as accounting and business operations manager and Jillian Waitkus as executive assistant to the president and chief executive officer.

Basketball
The Milwaukee Bucks hired Mike McCarthy as chief operating officer. McCarthy was executive vice president of media, new business and events for The Legacy Agency.

Colleges
The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association hired Suzette McQueen as senior associate commissioner of external operations and strategic marketing. McQueen was associate director of the Davidson College Athletic Fund.

Duke University promoted Mitch Moser to deputy athletic director for resource development and management and chief financial officer.

Iona College named George Bodenheimer, former ESPN president and executive chairman, to its School of Business faculty in the division of sports, entertainment and media.

The University of Georgia hired Josh Brooks as executive associate athletic director. Brooks was deputy athletic director at the University of Louisiana Monroe.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletic Director Scott Farmer resigned. Farmer will move into a teaching position in the university’s School of Kinesiology.

The University of Maryland hired Jamie Williams as director of student-athlete engagement and professional development. Williams was associate athletic director for leadership, student-athlete recruitment and diversity initiatives at the University of Nebraska.

Facilities
Speedway Motorsports Inc. promoted Greg Walter to executive vice president of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

ZIMMER
Football
The Miami Super Bowl Executive Board named Mike Zimmer president of the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee for the 2020 game. Zimmer was president of the host committee in 2010.

Media
Fox Sports hired Terri Hines as executive vice president of communications. Hines was vice president of global communications for Converse.

Soccer
FC Dallas hired Gina Miller as vice president of media and communications. Miller was a senior media consultant for media research and consulting firm SmithGeiger.

The Portland Timbers named former MLS player Jack Jewsbury director of business development.

Other
Genius Sports named Bill Squadron special counsel. Squadron was president of Bloomberg Sports.

ESC Games named Todd Swidler chief executive officer. Swidler was senior vice president and global head of video distribution and partnerships for Bloomberg Media.

The Women’s Sports Foundation named Deborah Antoine chief executive officer, effective Jan. 3. Antoine is president and chief executive officer of New York Junior Tennis & Learning.

Awards and Boards
The Los Angeles Sports Council elected Kevin Demoff, Dan Finnerty, Henry Ford, Joe Morris and Bryan Palbaum to its board of directors.

Basketball League Belgium’s Mons-Hainaut named Frank Alland executive board president.

Foot Locker named Ulice Payne Jr., Addison-Clifton president and managing member, and Kimberly Underhill, Kimberly-Clark Professional president, to its board of directors.
