Arena getting its own Frito-Lay snack lab

TD Garden will debut the Frito-Lay Test Kitchen this season, where the snack maker will “infuse” its products into dishes such as walking tacos, served in a Doritos bag, and Mac n’ Cheetos.

The test kitchen concept came as a result of the relationship concessionaire Delaware North Sportservice has with the snack maker, TD Garden President Amy Latimer said. In general, Sportservice tests food items at TD Garden before rolling them out to other arenas where the vendor runs food service.

Arena officials plan to solicit feedback from fans buying food there through surveys conducted on social media channels, Latimer said.

The test kitchen replaces The Chipper concession stand on the northeast corner of the main concourse.

Also new at the arena, Legal Sea Foods, a strong brand in the Boston market, will open a stand serving clam chowder, lobster rolls and fish and chips in the northwest corner of the main concourse.
