The WNBA’s Dallas Wings named Nicole Smith chief marketing officer. Smith was senior director of growth segment marketing for NASCAR.

College
The University of North Texas named Wren Baker athletic director. Baker was deputy athletic director and interim AD at the University of Missouri.

The University of Florida named Steve Spurrier athletic department ambassador and consultant. Spurrier was the football coach at the University of South Carolina.

Coppin State University named Derek Carter athletic director. Carter is athletic director at Montgomery College in Maryland.

The West Coast Conference promoted Jessica Everhart to assistant commissioner for compliance and student-athlete services, and Ryan McCrary to assistant commissioner for communications.

The Miami Dolphins named Samantha Coghill senior director of human resources and performance management.

Adidas named Beth Bass U.S. director of women’s sports marketing. Bass was chief executive officer of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

Awards and Boards
The National Baseball Hall of Fame named Ozzie Smith to its board of directors.

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee Foundation named Ben Sutton Jr. to its board of trustees. Sutton is founder and chairman emeritus of IMG College.
