Carlis departs AEG for Learfield SVP post

Digital and social media executive Scott Carlis has left AEG to join Learfield as senior vice president for digital media. He starts Monday.

CARLIS
Carlis will be responsible for expanding the digital and social offerings to the 100-plus schools where Learfield owns the multimedia rights. He will lead a team that includes chief content officer Joe Ferreira, Sidearm Sports chief Jeff Rubin and Ed Berry, who oversees digital sales nationally.

Carlis will continue to be based in Los Angeles. He reports to both Andy Rawlings, Learfield’s chief revenue officer, and COO Marc Jenkins.

Most recently, Carlis spent five years as vice president of digital and social marketing for AEG, where he worked on developing mobile apps, content and other digital initiatives for AEG events.
