Another NBA club strikes RSN deal

Fox Sports has quietly signed a long-term deal that will keep Dallas Mavericks games on FS Southwest until the end of the next decade.

The deal is significant in that it keeps another NBA team owned by a media veteran tethered to a regional sports network, though Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has not been nearly as vocal as Washington Wizards owner Ted Leonsis about the possibility of taking back his rights.

Sources said the new deal about doubles the rights fee FS Southwest pays to the team, averaging around $50 million per year.
