Baseball
The Seattle Mariners hired Christopher Ellis as director of safety and security. Ellis was a security supervisor for MLB in security and facilities management.

Basketball
The Philadelphia 76ers promoted Ted Glick and Austin Golya to account executives and Zach Norris and Elyssa Brock to group event specialists.

OXLEY
COOK
The Portland Trail Blazers and the Rose Quarter named Adam Cook general manager for the Rose Quarter, Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Chris Oxley vice president of business development and government affairs.

Colleges
Eastern Kentucky University named Steve Lochmueller athletic director. Lochmueller is president of Direct Attention.

St. Lawrence University named Bob Durocher athletic director. Durocher has been the university’s men’s soccer coach since 1990 and assistant director of athletics since 2000.

Oregon State University named Jake Gibson assistant athletic director for facilities and operations, Trevor Cramer assistant director of athletic communications and Russ Amidon director of sales in collaboration with the Pac-12 Conference.

The University of Washington hired Jim Herrmann as director of season ticket retention and engagement.

Media

HINDERY
SHAH
Moko Social Media hired Shripal Shah as chief operating officer. Shah was chief strategy officer for the Washington Redskins. The company also named Leo Hindery Jr., InterMedia Partners managing partner, to its board as a nonexecutive director.

Motorsports
SCCA Pro Racing named Steve Oseth vice president and general manager.

Multiteam Companies
The Madison Square Garden Co. hired Sharon Otterman as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Otterman was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for MSNBC and NBC News.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Performance Sports Group hired Todd Harman as executive vice president of baseball and softball. Harman was president for Cleveland Golf USA.

TaylorMade Golf named David Abeles chief executive officer and president.

Other
Dale Shumanski was named executive director for client entertainment and event operations for the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017. Shumanski was director of hospitality and special events for New York Road Runners and the TCS New York City Marathon.

Hormel Foods hired Wendy Watkins as vice president of corporate communications. Watkins was global vice president of corporate communications for Delaware North Cos.

Awards and Boards
Thomas Kelso was named chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority.
