Wilken’s decisions have the potential to overhaul the collegiate model as we know it. Earlier this year, she issued the decision in the Ed O’Bannon case, siding with the athletes over the NCAA. Her court also will hear the coming Jenkins v. NCAA antitrust case, otherwise known as the Jeffrey Kessler case, which proposes to remove all limits from athlete compensation.
