The days of sitting on aluminum-bench seats at Ralph Wilson Stadium are ending for Buffalo Bills’ season-ticket holders who are willing to buy a seat cushion. The Bills and IMG Seating are now offering two cushioned-seat models, each priced at $50 for the entire home season.
Chicago-based Kapow Events reached a deal with the Chicago Bears to transform a space on the north end of Soldier Field into a spot for companies to host large corporate gatherings. The Kapow Events Terrace will accommodate up to 150 guests, making it the largest private event space ever at the venue.
Indians sign AccelOps for IT solution
The Cleveland Indians selected AccelOps for review and assessment of the organization’s IT network. The implementation spans the data center operations at Progressive Field as well as the team’s training facility in Goodyear, Ariz.

Revs, Red Bulls add season perk
The New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls launched a season-ticket program aimed at fans who buy season tickets in their supporters sections. The Revs’ 2015 Fort Season Ticket Package includes a ticket to every regular-season match at Gillette Stadium as well as a ticket and bus transportation to the Revs’ away match against the Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. New York will provide the same benefits to their fans, including a ticket to the Red Bulls’ match against the Revs at Gillette Stadium.
Coliseum project could be 3 years away
USC Athletic Director Pat Haden estimated that it will be three years before USC breaks ground on major reconstruction of Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, according to a Los Angeles Times report. Haden added that the school’s football team would continue to play in the stadium, so the project probably would be completed over two offseasons.
ANC adds displays to new stadium
The University of Louisville has partnered with ANC Sports to engineer and install more than 3,075 square feet of LED technology across four display locations at the new soccer-specific Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. The main video screen will measure 26 feet high by 48 feet wide.
Bucks investor confident in $300M figure
Ted Kellner, one of six minority investors in the Milwaukee Bucks, said that he believes there is potential for raising as much as $300 million for a new multipurpose arena for the club, according to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report. Kellner is executive chairman of Milwaukee-based Fiduciary Management. The team and municipal officials are discussing a replacement for BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Coyotes drop ad agency
The Arizona Coyotes are looking for a new advertising agency. The team last August hired Chicago-based Cramer-Krasselt, which has a Phoenix office, but both the team and C-K have confirmed that they have now split.
Pens reach deal with Point Park
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Point Park University agreed to a sponsorship deal. Point Park will have a presence on Penguins social media and will title sponsor the #throwbackthursday feature on the Penguins’ Instagram account.
CVB group honoring Dupree
Scott Dupree, executive director of the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance, was named CVB Sports Commission Professional of the Year for Sales and Business Development by Connect Sports. The award will be presented to Dupree on Thursday at the Connect Sports Marketplace annual convention in Orlando.
Plan puts Chargers in new stadium
JMI Realty, which developed Petco Park and its surrounding district, unveiled a $1.4 billion plan that could produce more space for conventions locally and a new stadium for the San Diego Chargers at less cost than if new facilities were built independently, according to a San Diego Union-Tribune report. The plan comes in response to challenges to a planned expansion of the San Diego Convention Center and with the Chargers seeking options away from their current home, Qualcomm Stadium.
Rams sign Pointstreak for raffles
The St. Louis Rams Foundation is teaming with Pointstreak 5050 to deploy an electronic raffling system that will help raise funds for the charitable group. The team plans to sell the raffle tickets in tailgate areas and through handheld devices and portable printers along with kiosks and terminals situated around the Edward Jones Dome.
NLL Wings moving to Mohegan Sun
The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League are heading to Connecticut. The Mohegan Sun and Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority have acquired a 50 percent ownership stake in the team, which will begin playing its home games under a new name at the Mohegan Sun Arena in December. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
