MLB promoted Frank Robinson to executive vice president of baseball development.

The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Round Rock (Texas) Express hired Derrick Grubbs as vice president for promotions and entertainment.

Basketball
The Indiana Pacers named Donnie Walsh president of basketball operations and promoted Kevin Pritchard to general manager. Pritchard was director of player personnel.

The Atlanta Hawks named Danny Ferry general manager. Ferry was vice president of basketball operations for the San Antonio Spurs.

The Charlotte Bobcats named Leonty McCarthy guest services representative. McCarthy was arena service representative with the LJVM Coliseum Complex in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Colleges
Illinois State University named Paul Downey associate athletic director of academics and life skills. Downey was director of student-athlete academic services at West Virginia University.

Rowan University promoted Dan Gilmore to athletic director.

The University of Wisconsin named Jason King associate athletic director for capital projects and operations. King was senior associate athletic director at Southern Illinois University.

The University of Mississippi hired Joe Swingle as associate athletic director for facilities and game operations. Swingle was director of facilities for the University of Arkansas.

Bowling Green State University promoted Jermaine Truax to assistant athletic director for compliance.

The University of California, Berkeley, promoted Jay John to assistant athletic director for basketball development.

The University of Detroit Mercy named Matt Zielinski director of ticket operations and special events.

Kennesaw State University promoted Lisa Cherry to creative services coordinator and hired Mike Young as director of sports medicine, Bobby Lindsey as director of ticket services and operations and Al Barba as director of athletic communications.

Florida Atlantic University hired Patrick Chun as athletic director. Chun was senior associate athletic director at Ohio State University.

Texas A&M hired Eric Hyman as athletic director. Hyman was athletic director at the University of South Carolina.

The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl and Nashville Sports Council promoted Adam Burke to vice president of communications and e-commerce, Brandon Cox to director of communications, and Alicia Frandsen to director of e-commerce.

Hockey
The Florida Panthers named Bryan McCabe manager of player development.

The American Hockey League’s Hamilton (Ontario) Bulldogs named Stephen Ostaszewicz president. Ostaszewicz was controller and company secretary of Mabe Canada.

Team Epic promoted Jessica McVey to coordinator in the Team Epic CEMP group and Brian Nelson to associate.

IMG Consulting hired Todd Parker as a vice president. Parker was vice president of corporate partnerships for the Professional Bull Riders.

Intersport launched incito!, a multicultural division, which will be led by senior vice president Michael Rodriguez. The company also hired Andy Meyer as senior vice president of strategic development. Meyer will also serve as the head of production and development for Intersport’s 20 West Productions.

AdSport hired Andy Price as marketing and communications coordinator.

JMI named Eric Pinkham vice president of partnership development for North America and David Webb president of international.

Learfield Sports hired as account executives Jeff Ziegenhorn for Hurricane Sports Properties at the University of Miami, Kevin Tiemann for Bronco Sports Properties at Boise State University, Tyler Keys for Crimson Tide Sports Marketing at the University of Alabama, Mike Phillip for University of Wyoming Sports Properties and Rob Miller for Panther Sports Properties at the University of Northern Iowa.

CBS Sports Marketing named Kelly Dunne senior vice president. Dunne was senior vice president of marketing and creative services for CBS Sports Network.

ESPN hired Melissa Colgate as director of X Games sales and marketing, Ian Partilla and Christopher Owen as account executives for X Games sales and Andrew Feit as senior director of Global X Games sports management. Amanda Bauer and Megan Smith moved to manager of sports management for Global X and associate manager of sports management, respectively.

Time Warner Cable hired Dennis Johnson as director of media relations for the Pacific West region. Johnson was spokesman for NFL Network.

USA Today Sports Media Group hired Chris Pirrone as the general manager for the sports digital properties unit. Pirrone was executive vice president and general manager of premium display, mobile and video digital advertising for online ad network Traffic Marketplace.

NFL Network promoted Jennifer Love to vice president and coordinating director, and Mike Muriano and Kent Camera to senior director and senior coordinating producer.

IndyCar hired Matt Breeden as vice president of business affairs. Breeden was vice president and general counsel for Champ Car World Series.

The Sioux Falls Sports Authority hired Jason Richards as project director.

The ATP promoted Mark Young to chief media officer, in addition to his roles as chief executive officer for ATP Americas and chief legal officer; Laurent Delanney to commercial director, in addition to his role as chief executive officer for ATP Europe; and Andre Silva to tournament director of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, while continuing his role as chief player officer.

WWE hired Bill Hirsh and Ted Van Zelst as vice presidents of integrated sales. Hirsh was vice president of corporate partnerships for the New Jersey Devils and the Prudential Center, and Van Zelst was vice president of national property sales at Live Nation.
