The San Francisco Giants named former player Will Clark a special assistant. Clark was an adviser for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Basketball

The Memphis Grizzlies reassigned assistant coach Kevin O’Neill to special assistant to the general manager.

The Minnesota Lynx hired Joe Schwei as ticket sales manager. Schwei is owner of the Northwoods League’s Mankato (Minn.) MoonDogs.

Bowling

The Professional Bowlers Association’s Tom Clark will add the role of deputy commissioner to his duties as chief operating officer, effective May 1.

Colleges

The Big East Conference hired Bernadette Bartlett as minority administrative fellow.

The University of Central Florida hired Maura Murphy as assistant athletic director for development/annual fund. Murphy was assistant athletic director for development at Ohio University.

The University of California at Santa Barbara promoted Diane O’Brien to executive athletic director for internal affairs, and hired Carlos Garcia as coordinator of team services and Tom Hastings as executive associate athletic director for external affairs.

Kansas State University Athletic Director Bob Krause was named director of development for the university’s Olathe Innovation Campus, effective March 31.

Facilities

Global Spectrum promoted Bob Kehm to assistant general manager for the Chaifetz Arena at Saint Louis University. Kehm will continue his role as the facility’s director of marketing. 

Richmond International Raceway promoted Louis Gilmore to director of new business development and Ryan Ross to corporate partnership manager, and hired Megan Copeland as a sales executive and Dyan Stanley-Wharton as manager of event operations.

Architecture design firm RipBang Studios named Tori Engel-Sovocool sports marketing director. Engel-Sovocool was marketing manager for NBBJ Sports and Entertainment.

Finance

ING U.S. financial services director of sponsorships Maureen Kelly left the company as a result of recent layoffs.

Football

The Cleveland Browns named George Kokinis general manager. Kokinis was director of pro personnel for the Baltimore Ravens.

The St. Louis Rams named Bruce Warwick assistant to the head coach/football operations. Warwick was assistant athletic director for football operations at the University of Tennessee. 

The New England Patriots named Floyd Reese senior football adviser. Reese was formerly general manager for the Tennessee Titans and an NFL analyst for ESPN.

Hockey

The Tampa Bay Lightning hired Sean Henry as a business consultant for the team and the St. Pete Times Forum.

Horse Racing

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association hired Mike Ziegler as executive director of its new Safety and Integrity Alliance. Ziegler was a senior vice president for Youbet.com.

Marketing

Premier Partnerships named Alex Dal Porto coordinator for its Revenue Maximizer.

Relay Worldwide named Greg Simon senior vice president of business development.

Strategic promoted Ali Bennett to senior account executive and hired Cristina Ramos as senior account supervisor.

Vivid Marketing promoted Matt Black to director of production and operations.

Media

Golf Digest Digital Properties named Thomas Bonk writer-at-large. Bonk was a golf reporter for the Los Angeles Times.

Athlon Sports Communications named Mike Nahrstedt deputy editor with a primary focus on Athlon Sports professional football content. Nahrstedt was senior managing editor for Sporting News.

 

Disney named Stephen Moore executive vice president and managing director for Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Canada.

ISP Sports promoted Craig Curtis to assistant vice president and general manager for the Villanova ISP Sports Network, Todd Melfi to assistant vice president and general manager for the Pittsburgh ISP Sports Network and Jamie Walker to general manager for the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network.

Golf Channel promoted Chris Murvin to senior vice president of business affairs and hired David Allen as editor of instruction and equipment for GolfChannel.com.

MSG Media named Dan Ronayne executive vice president and general manager of MSG Networks. Ronayne was executive vice president and general manager for Rainbow Media’s VOD networks.

Motorsports

Alan Johnson Al-Anabi Racing hired Rob Goodman as director of media relations.

Olympics

The British Columbia Olympic and Paralympic Games Secretariat named Philip Steenkamp president and chief executive officer, replacing Annette Antoniak.

USA Triathlon promoted Rachel Roebke to regional coordinator, transferred Tara McCarthy to regional coordinator, and hired Heidi Herboldsheimer as creative coordinator; Michael Mogren as IT services manager; Brian Oehler as sanction coordinator, Wendy Peel as membership programs coordinator; and Kelly Gowler, Kara Thompson and Lindsay Wyskowski as membership coordinators.
