The Boston Red Sox named Susan Goodenow vice president of public affairs and Mary Sprong vice president of human resources. Goodenow was vice president of public relations for Major League Baseball, and Sprong was vice president of human resources and administration for Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp.

The Fresno Grizzlies promoted Jeff Benton to director of marketing and corporate partnerships, Sebastian Biagioni to ticket sales manager, Krista Boyd to director of entertainment and publications, Derek Franks to director of inside sales, Jason Hannold to director of event operations, Ray Ortiz to account executive and Karen Thomas to finance manager. The team hired Danielle Cabral as director of community relations, Paul Kennedy as director of media and public relations and Paul Zilm as director of tickets.

The Class A Northwest League’s Vancouver Canadians named Andrew Seymour general manager. Seymour was assistant general manager for the Class A Florida State League’s Fort Myers (Fla.) Miracle.

Basketball

The Cleveland Cavaliers promoted Mike Behan to director of business development, Corey James, Melissa Reynolds and Frank Schopler to business development specialists, Matt Miller to director of operations for Quicken Loans Arena, Dan Purdy, Macrina Seals and Kathleen Waddell to client experience specialists, Bryan Ralston to director of group sales, Brea Schmidt to client experience manager, Bob Sivik to director of business development, Tyson Smith to senior client experience specialist and Jami Taylor to dance teams coordinator. The team hired Anitris Crawley as dance teams assistant, Matt Eck as video services manager, Lydia Hardy as housekeeping coordinator, Brandon Jirousek as Web content coordinator, Michael Perison as senior director of housekeeping and Jennifer Wiklund as a corporate sales executive.

The WNBA expansion Atlanta Dream hired Allison Fillmore as vice president of ticket sales, Paige Blankenship as vice president of marketing and Tameka Garrett as director of community relations.

Facilities

American Seating promoted Doug Oswald to architectural environments market manager.

Delaware North Cos. Boston named Jason Petrie graphic designer for the TD Banknorth Garden marketing department and the Boston Bruins, and Marsha Cummings VIP sales manager.

VenuWorks named Steve Hyman executive director of the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, N.D. Hyman was president of consulting firm CCO Arenas.

Football

The NFL named Anthony Noto executive vice president and chief financial officer. Noto was a partner and managing director of the communication, media and entertainment equity research business unit for Goldman Sachs.

The Atlanta Falcons named Thomas Dimitroff general manager. Dimitroff was director of college scouting for the New England Patriots.

The Buffalo Bills promoted Russ Brandon to chief operating officer, John Guy to vice president of pro personnel and Tom Modrak to vice president of college scouting.

The Arena Football League’s Grand Rapids (Mich.) Rampage hired Herman Moore to assist with business development. Moore was the Rampage’s radio color commentator.

Golf

The Ladies Professional Golf Association promoted Eric Albrecht to vice president of tournament marketing and sales and Kathie Vu to vice president of corporate partnerships.

Hockey

The American Hockey League’s Lake Erie (Ohio) Monsters hired Justin Hicks, Robert Minter and Ashley Toops as account executives.

Horse Racing

Magna Entertainment Corp. named Scott Borgemenke executive vice president for racing. Borgemenke was chief of staff to Ohio House Speaker Jon Husted.

Conventures hired Chris Meierhoefer as director of destination management and Marianne Leonard-Cashman as destination management account manager.

Career Sports & Entertainment named Andrew Campagnone senior director of business development.

Strategic hired Robert Molloy as vice president and group account director.

Tumri named Calvin Lui president and chief executive officer. Lui was the chief operating officer of Connexus and president of its traffic marketplace division.

AOL hired Derrick Heggans as general manager for sports. Heggans was chief operating officer for Collegiate Images.

Beckett Media promoted Bill Sutherland to director of data publishing.

CBS Sports promoted Laura Prego to director of sponsorship integration.

The Fight Network hired Anthony Cicione as senior vice president of programming and production. Cicione was vice president of programming and production for The Score.

FSN Houston named Steve Tello senior vice president and general manager. Tello was general manager of FSN Pittsburgh.

MSG Media named Marc Mondry senior coordinating producer for original programming, features and postproduction. Mondry was director of programming for Rainbow Media’s Sportskool

Thoroughbred Times promoted Pete Denk to sales editor.

Red Bull Racing Team named Jay Frye general manager. Frye was formerly chief executive officer and general manager of Ginn Racing.

USA Water Polo named Kai Palchikoff director of sport development – West. Palchikoff is chairman of USA Water Polo’s Coastal California Zone.

The Major League Soccer Players Union named former MLS player Eddie Pope director of player relations.

Red Bull New York hired Stefanie Mondschein and Rob Komorowski as inside sales representatives.

Sporting Goods and Apparel

William Colombo has stepped down as president and chief operating officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods and assumed the role of vice chairman.

Other

The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame added the title of president to Chief Executive Officer Tom Lawrence and named Laura Gee marketing and tour director and Wendy Hett assistant marketing and tour coordinator.
