The Atlanta Braves named Hill Scott director of marketing. Scott was sports marketing manager for ConocoPhillips Co.

The Florida Marlins promoted Larry Beinfest to president of baseball operations, Michael Hill to vice president and general manager and Dan Jennings to vice president of player personnel and assistant general manager. All three executives had their contracts extended to 2015 along with Jim Fleming, who retained his title as vice president of player development and scouting and assistant general manager.

The Toronto Blue Jays hired Colleen Cooke as a consumer sales representative.

The Class AA Eastern League’s Reading (Pa.) Phillies named Matt Hoffmaster client relationship manager/merchandise and Adam Lanzendorfer client relationship manager.

The Class AA Texas League’s Corpus Christi (Texas) Hooks promoted Michael Wood to general manager.

The Class A South Atlantic League’s Lake County (Ohio) Captains promoted Jonathan Levey to manager of promotions and graphic design.

The independent Atlantic League’s Southern Maryland Blue Crabs named Mark Viniard senior director of business operation, Andy Frankel senior director of marketing and Bill Snitcher director of corporate partnerships.

The independent Can-Am League’s New Haven County (Conn.) Cutters hired Bryant O’Neill as an account executive.

Jim Duquette resigned from his position as Baltimore Orioles vice president of baseball operations.

The Houston Astros named Chuck Arnold and Shane Hildreth assistant directors of sponsorships. Arnold was senior account manager for Liberman Broadcasting, and Hildreth was corporate development manager for the Houston Texans.

The Texas Rangers promoted Jim Sundberg to executive vice president for communications and public relations.

The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Sacramento River Cats hired Steve Gracio as an outside sales representative.

The independent Atlantic League’s Lancaster (Pa.) Barnstormers promoted Keith Lupton to vice president of baseball operations.

The independent Atlantic League’s York (Pa.) Revolution named Adam Gladstone head of baseball operations.

The Houston Rockets promoted Sam Hinkie to vice president of basketball operations and hired Kenny Atkinson as director of player development.

The NBA named former referee Bernie Fryer assistant director of officials and crew chief coordinator.

The Philadelphia 76ers hired Pete Sousa as public relations manager. Sousa was basketball communications coordinator for the Charlotte Bobcats.

Canada Basketball named Wayne Parrish executive director and chief executive officer.

The Memphis Grizzlies named Kenny Williamson assistant general manager and Dustin Krugel director of media relations. Williamson was director of scouting for the Charlotte Bobcats, and Krugel was basketball communications manager for the Phoenix Suns.

Pacers Sports and Entertainment promoted Julie Graue to vice president of Fever business operations, Jake Vernon to vice president of ticket sales and services, Kelli Towles to director of community relations, Karen Atkeson to associate director of promotions, Dean Heaviland to associate director of fan development, Courtney Howell to associate director of event production, Rob Laycock to associate director of database marketing and research and Lindsey Hendren to production manager.

The University of Central Florida promoted Matt DiFebo to associate athletic director.

The University of South Florida named Jeff Wuerth assistant sports information director.

Facilities

Churchill Downs named Bill Mudd executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mudd was global commercial chief financial officer for General Electric Water and Process Technologies.

Global Entertainment Corp. named Rob Cline assistant executive director of the Greater Wenatchee Regional Events Center in Wenatchee, Wash.

NFL Players promoted Allison Tucker to vice president of corporate partnerships and business development, Stephen Goodman to assistant vice president for corporate partnerships, Amy Maestas to corporate partnerships manager, Nicole Krzesny to senior licensing manager and Muneer Moore and Doug Airel to senior managers in the player marketing department. Chad Kurz was hired as Internet marketing manager.

The Orange Bowl Committee named Lou Cantin manager of corporate partnerships. Cantin was director of sales for the Champ Car World Series.

Tom Lenz was named executive director of the Excalibur Classic golf and gala event in Palm Beach, Fla. Lenz was the former director of the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic.

The St. Louis Blues promoted Joe Dennehy to vice president of food and beverage, Mike Caruso to vice president of public relations and Phil Siddle to vice president of finance and administration, and hired Dave Bullock as senior vice president of sales and marketing, Karrie Yager as vice president of sales and marketing partnerships, Mark Tamar as vice president of entertainment and event marketing and Todd Lambert as vice president of sales.

The American Hockey League promoted Jim Mill to executive vice president of hockey operations, Chris Nikolis to executive vice president of marketing and business development and Sean Lavoine to vice president of licensing and corporate sales.

The American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids (Mich.) Griffins hired Amanda Parrish as a corporate sales account executive and Nicole Rodammer as community relations and marketing coordinator.

Also, Michael Paoletta was named vice president of marketing in the New York office, David Wille vice president of marketing in the London office and Michelle Uher senior director of digital marketing.

The Goldklang Group promoted Tyler Tumminia to vice president of integrated marketing.

Jennifer Rottenberg launched dsnv Marketing Group. Rottenberg was senior vice president of business development for CC&C Management Group.

Sport Dimensions promoted Todd Stonis to general manager.

Nielsen Sports named Tom Ziangas senior vice president. Ziangas was senior vice president of national television client services for The Nielsen Co.

TVG hired Kevin Platé as vice president of ad sales. Platé was executive vice president of sales and business development for iMedia International.

Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic named Steve McIntyre marketing manager. McIntyre was promotions director for Red Zebra Broadcasting.
