Hype equals hits: Olympians on eBay

The U.S. Olympic team members who saw the highest sales totals via eBay for their namesakemerchandise during the Torino Games were not necessarily the most successful team membersat the Olympics. Gold-medal snowboarder Shaun White led the way, but Michelle Kwan rankedclose behind siver-medal fi gure skater Sasha Cohen despite Kwan not even competing in Italy.Skier Bode Miller was No. 4, with almost half of White’s total, despite coming home without amedal. None of the Olympians, however, had sales totals even close to the marks posted forestablished U.S. team sports stars.
