Maloof Sports and Entertainment, owner of the Sacramento Kings, Sacramento Monarchs and Arco Arena, hired Greg Fleisher as an account executive.

The Portland Trail Blazers hired Art Sasse as vice president of communications. Sasse was owner/principal of BS Ltd., a communications consulting firm.

The Seattle Sonics and Storm named Shauna McBride business development coordinator and Michael Ferguson operations and event production assistant. McBride was in the finance department of FSN Northwest.

Colleges
The Collegiate Licensing Co. promoted Dave Kirkpatrick to vice president of non-apparel marketing and Scott Bouyack to vice president of apparel marketing.

The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association named Nancy Mitchell special consultant. Mitchell was associate director, child and family services at Midwest WholeChild Development Group.

The Mid-Continent Conference named Tom Douple commissioner. Douple was athletic director at Southern Utah University.

Georgetown University named Mike Carey sports information director, Ben Shove assistant sports information director and Jim Donatelli assistant sports information director/publications coordinator. Carey was associate director for athletic communications at St. John’s University and Shove was sports information director at Wagner College.

Chicago State University hired Darren Hamilton as athletic director. Hamilton was program coordinator for the Duke University athletic department.

Facilities
Anaheim Arena Management, LLC and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim named Chris Brown entertainment manager, Scott Carter manager of inside sales and telemarketing, Trisha Chopin payroll supervisor, Jacie Coulson ticket sales administrative assistant, Erin Ogawa sponsorship servicing coordinator, Ariana Zamora premium ticketing representative, and Matt Payne and Kadi Sutherlin group sales representatives and promoted Jesse Brewer to sponsorship sales and service associate. Anaheim Arena Management named Brian Gale director of marketing and promoted Lucia Moody to event services supervisor and Scott Shaw to assistant parking manager.

Football
The NFL named Joaquin Del Rivero-Yaniz managing director of the league’s Mexico office. Del Rivero-Yaniz was marketing director for Hasbro-Mexico.

Potter
Players Inc, the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFLPA, hired Lara Potter as assistant vice president of communications. Potter was a senior account executive for Brener Zwikel and Associates.

The Philadelphia Eagles named Bonnie Grant director of communications. Grant was deputy city representative for the city of Philadelphia.

The New York Jets hired Andy Lee as general counsel and vice president, legal affairs. Lee was a senior associate at Proskauer Rose LLP.

Former NFL player Hugh Douglas was named team ambassador by the Philadelphia Eagles. Douglas will serve as the community relations spokesman, make appearances and be involved in marketing efforts for the team.

The AFL’s Grand Rapids (Mich.) Rampage named Scott Woodruff to the newly created position of general manager of business operations. Woodruff was executive director of business development for the Chicago Rush, and was previously executive director of development for the Rampage.

Hockey
The Phoenix Coyotes named Dan Brewster director of marketing, Doug Cannon manager of broadcasting, Mark Iralson manager of event presentation, Chad Lynch manager of new media, Stacey Cohen manager of integrated marketing and promotions, Susan O’Donnell community relations coordinator, Dustin Payne fan development coordinator and Todd Bisson youth hockey coordinator. The club also promoted Jen Byron to manager of advertising and marketing programs and Sarah Finecey to manager of community relations and fan development.

PR and marketing firm Warschawski promoted Kerry O’Neill to associate.

ICON International named Chris Kiernan and Brian Mieth vice presidents, directors of sports and event marketing.

CSTV named James Bates, Billy Burke, Jonathan Coachman, Brian Jones, Ray Lucas and Frank Stams college football analysts and commentators.

ESPN named Keith Clinkscales senior vice president and general manager of ESPN Publishing. Clinkscales, the former president and chief executive officer of Vibe Magazine, had been a consultant for ESPN ABC Sports since March.

OLN named Bill Clement host of the network’s studio show for NHL coverage and Mike “Doc” Emrick lead play-by-play announcer for NHL games.

G4 hired Neal Tiles as president and promoted Dale Hopkins to chief operating officer. Tiles was executive vice president of marketing for DirecTV.

Motorsports
Richard Childress Racing hired Tom Knox as managing director of business development and promoted Jason Garrow to director of sponsor services. Knox was vice president of business development for Rusty Wallace Inc.

International Speedway Corp. hired Kathy Milthorpe as managing director for strategic initiatives. Milthorpe was executive vice president and chief financial officer for the LPGA.

Soccer
Ajax America named Scott Brody director of commercial operations.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Ashworth Inc. named Peter Case executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer and promoted Peter Holmberg to executive vice president of merchandising, design and production. Per Gasseholm resigned as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Oakley Inc. hired Scott Olivet as chief executive officer and director. Olivet was Nike Inc.’s vice president, Nike Subsidiaries and new business development.

Ahead Authentics apparel named Greg Bowser, Mike Herber and Charlie Burgywn sales executives. Bowser will cover western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, Herber will cover Indiana and Burgywn will cover North Carolina.

Tennis
The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour named Stacey Allaster president and promoted David Shoemaker to chief operating officer and general counsel. Allaster is vice president of Tennis Canada and tournament director for the Rogers Cup Women’s and Men’s Championships.

USA Track and Field promoted Patty Hogan to executive office manager, Sarah Davis to senior marketing manager, Adam Schmenk to events and broadcasting manager and Jed Cornforth to operations manager.

XOS hired Mark Johnson as vice president of client development for XOS Network. Johnson was vice president of university relations for CSTV Online.

St. Vincent Sports Performance named Greg Moore and Robb Rogers to its performance team in Indianapolis.

Bob Holden was promoted to director of sports and Greg Bettinelli to director of tickets at eBay.

Ronald Rolleri was named chief operating officer of Lelands.com. Rolleri comes to Lelands Sports Auction House from First Investors Corp. Also added were Richard Bond as acquisitions specialist and Nicolae Suciu as director of information technology.

Bob Elphinston was named sports consultant to the organizing committee of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Elphinston is vice president of FIBA.

The International Cycling Union named Pat McQuaid president.

Awards and boards
The International Swimming Hall of Fame named Roger Williams to the board of directors. Williams is president of the Warnaco Swimwear Group.

Mike Reilley was named to the Special Olympics Nebraska board of directors. Reilley is director of sports marketing and consulting at Bailey Lauerman marketing communications.
